Shreveport Inhabitants and Visitors Alike can Enjoy the Mardi Gras Parade.
It is good news that the Mardi Gras parades scheduled for the year 2021 in Shreveport have not been canceled. It’s only that things will appear a little different. The Mardi Gras event occurs in towns and cities all around Louisiana from east to west and north to south.
The magnificent, beaded, feathered, and costumed carnival is rich with tradition and is about having an excellent time. The traditional Mardi Gras colors date back to 1892, and they include green, symbolizing faith, purple, symbolizing justice, and gold, which symbolizes power.
Mardi Gras is usually held on Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. The day before Mardi Gras is called Lundi Gras or Shrove Monday. The event is scheduled in Louisiana on February 16, 2021. The fun-filled event features:
